Mental Health Awareness Program

  • Under the joint auspices of the University's Women's Studies Center and the esteemed Manovatsal Foundation, a significant "Mental Health Awareness Program" was conducted on March 21, 2024, at the committee room of the Women's Studies Center. The program aimed to enlighten students, professors, and women officers and employees of the University about the critical aspects of mental health and its significance in our lives. The program, presided over by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Murli Manohar Pathak, was graced by the presence of Mr. Santosh Kumar Srivastava, Finance Officer, and Registrar (in-charge) of the University, as a special guest.
    The keynote speaker for the event was Ms. Vatsala Pathak, founder and psychologist of Manovatsal Foundation. Through her enlightening lecture, she elucidated the essence of mental health, its importance, and shed light on the factors leading to mental illness. Ms. Pathak also addressed the impact of mental health issues on our lives and offered insights into preventive measures.The presence of the Inspection Committee of Rajbhasha affiliated with the University Grants Commission lent further dignity to the program, enhancing its significance.
    The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, professors, women officers, and employees of the university, signifying the importance of the subject matter.
    Dr. Savita Rai, Director of Women's Study Center, efficiently coordinated the program, ensuring its success. The program was skillfully conducted by research assistant Mrs. Taruna Awasthi.
