Prof. Murlimanohar Pathak

Appointed by the Honorable Visitor (President of India) on October 29th, 2021, Professor Murlimanohar Pathak brings a wealth of academic, administrative, and research experience to his role. A distinguished scholar graduated from the University of Allahabad with a master's and a doctorate in Sanskrit. Prior to assuming the responsibilities of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pathak served as the Head of the Department of Sanskrit and Prakrit Languages, at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

With an impressive academic career spanning more than 33 years, Professor Pathak has demonstrated his commitment to education through extensive teaching, guidance, and mentorship. He has guided 35 Ph.D. research scholars and 7 M.Phil. students, contributing significantly to the academic growth of his students Professor Pathak's scholarly contributions extend beyond the classroom, with 75 research papers published in national and international journals and conferences. Noteworthy among his works is the publication of "Rigvediya Darshan evam Pramukha Darshanika Sukta in 2003, showcasing his expertise in the field. Having held leadership positions at Maharshi Panini Sanskrit Evam Vedic University, Ujjain, including Dean of the Faculty of Veda-Vedang and Sahitya, Professor, and Head of the Department of Sanskrit Sahitya and Sahityashastra, Prof. Pathak has a proven track record in academic administration. His involvement in the founding of Maharshi Panini Sanskrit Evam Vedic University is a testament to his dedication to both academic and administrative excellence.
