Introduction
The School of Education is an important unit of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University. The vision of the School is to empower Teachers and Teacher Educators to address Teaching-Learning Systems in the field of Sanskrit Education with commitment, competence and confidence. The school is enriched with well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members having specialized knowledge in their respective subjects. It encourages research in the field of educational philosophy, educational psychology, educational technology, ancient Indian education and shastric education. The school also organizes national seminars/ workshops/ conferences on contemporary issues and their challenges in the field of education in each academic year. Under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) established Teaching Learning Centre (TLC) in the year 2017 and National Resource Centre (NRC) in the year 2018 for the development of language pedagogy specially Sanskrit pedagogy . TLC organizes national seminars, workshops, conferences and training programmes time to time. NRC has in its credit the recorded lectures for SWAYAM and MOOCS platform used for online learning. Faculty of Education is also nominated as a Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) Centre in the year 2018 by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi under PMMMNMTT. From 5th September, 2023 TLC has been renamed as Malviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC).

- To promote interdisciplinary approach in Research with a focus on Sanskrit Education.
Infrastructure
The School has excellent infrastructure with instructional facilities. It has departmental library, committee room, common room and four well equipped Labs: Educational Technology Lab, Educational Psychology Lab, Computer Lab and Language Lab. The building is inclusively designed with space and facilities that are welcoming and also accessible to differently abled persons.
Programmes
This School offers various Programmes as Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed), Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed) and Vidyavaridhi (Ph.D). The courses are offered in accordance with UGC and NCTE Regulations. The students are admitted in B.Ed and M.Ed programme through CUET conducted by NTA. In Vidyavaridhi (Ph.D) Programme students are admitted by All India level Entrance Test conducted by the University.
